Exhibition organized by Lam Dong Provincial Museum in collaboration with Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026). With more than 30 panels of documentary photos, artifacts and many introductory publications, the exhibition depicts the journey of Hoi An from patriotic revolutionary tradition to World Cultural Heritage and Global Creative Urban. Through the system of selected images and documents, the public will have the opportunity to understand more deeply the history of the revolutionary struggle of the land and people of Hoi An. At the same time, feel the unique cultural values that have been preserved, fostered and promoted over many generations.
In addition to display activities, the exhibition also brings many attractive experiences such as interacting with the patriotic ex-prisoner Liaison Committee of Da Lat Children's Prison, experiencing making traditional lanterns in Hoi An, decorating paper masks and especially enjoying Bai Choi folk art. This is a unique art form that combines music, poetry, performances and folk games, creating an exchange space imbued with the cultural identity of the Central region.

Rustic, witty chants mixed with bustling drums create a joyful, close atmosphere, attracting viewers of all ages. Not only does it have entertainment value, Bai Choi also reflects the working life, customs and human values of the Central region community. Through each verse of the song, the listener feels the love for the homeland, the love for the village, filial piety, the spirit of solidarity, and lessons in life. It is these sustainable values that helped Bai Choi art to be registered by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2017, affirming the position of traditional Vietnamese art on the world cultural map.
In the quiet space of the Da Lat Children's Prison National Monument, Bai Choi melodies not only bring joy and excitement to those who enjoy them, but also contribute to bringing history closer to the public. After visiting the images and documents about the revolutionary tradition ofHoi An, the Hoi An Prison system, the connection between Da Lat and Hoi An through revolutionary movements, along with the journey of making Hoi An a World Cultural Heritage - a Global Creative Urban, visitors will be immersed in a rich folk art space. That combination promises to bring a complete experience, where history and culture are felt with many senses.
Bringing Bai Choi folk art to perform at the National Monument of Da Lat Children's Prison (No. 9A, Ho Xuan Huong Street, Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat), will create a meaningful cultural highlight. This is a special intersection space when Hoi An's intangible cultural heritage is introduced at a "red address" marking the indomitable fighting spirit of young revolutionary soldiers in the resistance war against the US to save the country. The meeting between cultural heritage and historical relics not only enriches the exhibition content but also contributes to connecting the past with the present, spreading historical and cultural values to the masses.
