With more than 30 panels of documentary photos, artifacts and introductory publications, the exhibition recreates Hoi An's development journey from a land rich in patriotic and revolutionary traditions to a World Cultural Heritage - a Global Creative City. Through images and documents, the public has the opportunity to learn more deeply about the history of the revolutionary struggle of the land and people of Hoi An; feel the unique cultural values that have been preserved and promoted for many generations.
The exhibition is an activity with practical significance to honor and pay tribute to revolutionary soldiers who have devoted and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and unification. In particular, the organization of the exhibition at the Da Lat Children's Prison National Monument, which marks the indomitable fighting spirit of young revolutionary soldiers during the resistance war against the US to save the country, further highlights the historical value and traditional educational significance of the program. Thereby, helping the public better understand the value of peace, while fostering patriotism, the will to be self-reliant and arousing national pride in all walks of life, especially the younger generation in the world.the work of building and protecting the Fatherland.
The exhibition content includes three main topics:
Part 1: Hoi An Prison relic system - Evidence of a revolutionary journey, will introduce to the public images of Hoi An - an important administrative center of Quang Nam province during the period of struggle against French colonialism from the early 20th century. Recreating the years of steadfast struggle of patriotic soldiers imprisoned in the Hoi An Prison system.
Part 2: Hoi An - Da Lat: A magical connection, introduces images showing the connection between the lands of Hoi An and Da Lat through revolutionary movements, historical values, patriotic traditions and the spirit of solidarity cultivated over time period.
Part 3: From World Cultural Heritage to Global Creative Cities, introduces outstanding achievements in conservation and promotion of valuesvalue Hoi An cultural heritage; Efforts to build and develop urban areas towards sustainability, creativity and international integration, contributing to affirming Hoi An's position on the world cultural map.
Within the framework of the opening program of the exhibition, the public can also interact with the patriotic ex-prisoner liaison committee of Da Lat Children's Prison, participate in activities to experience paper mask decoration, make Hoi An traditional lanterns and enjoy the unique Bai Choi folk art.
The exhibition "Hoi An - From patriotic revolutionary tradition to World Cultural Heritage - Global Creative City" promises to become a meaningful cultural highlight in the month of July, contributing to connecting the past with the present, spreading the good values of history to people and tourists.
The exhibition will last from July 27 to August 27, 2026. Lam Dong Provincial Museum respectfully invites people, tourists, youth union members and those who love history and culture to visit, learn and experience this special exhibition space.
